This type of road infrastructure has many advantages. The construction of concrete roads ensures high durability and a long service life. Concrete pavement is resistant to wear and natural disasters, and requires less repair than asphalt roads. Large-scale road construction should be entrusted to the specialists of Forest-Ukraine.

Advantages of concrete roads compared to asphalt roads

Road construction in Ukraine requires a comprehensive approach, which has a positive impact on the quality of the result. Concrete roads have the following advantages over asphalt:

Strength and durability. Concrete pavements are less susceptible to deformation, displacement, and damage from loads, making them more durable than asphalt roads.

Minimal repair. Concrete does not require repair or maintenance during its long service life.

Resistance to external factors. Concrete roads can withstand extreme temperatures, ultraviolet radiation, and aggressive chemicals.

Environmental sustainability. Concrete is made from more environmentally friendly materials and can be recycled and reused.

Improved visibility. Concrete roads are lighter in color, providing better visibility in low light conditions and during rain.

However, the cost of constructing 1 km of concrete road is higher than that of asphalt roads. But the high price is offset by the long service life of concrete pavement.

Features of road construction planning and design

Comprehensive planning helps to optimize the cost of a concrete road. This process consists of the following aspects:

Location selection. Traffic flow, residents’ needs in certain areas, and connections to other localities are examined.

Justification of necessity. An increase in traffic, improved road safety, and promotion of economic development in the region are expected.

Designing a concrete road project. Proper road construction involves technical and graphic design in compliance with applicable standards and regulations.

Cost and resource assessment. The price of road construction is calculated based on the developed plan. Careful work is carried out to create a cost estimate, determine the necessary amount of resources, and determine the economic feasibility of the project.

All these stages are important for the successful construction of concrete roads. Our specialists will efficiently carry out the preparation and implementation of each project.

Preparation for the construction of a concrete road

Preparation before the construction of a concrete road is an important stage, which includes the following works:

Preparation of the road base. The top layer of soil is removed, unevenness is corrected, and the correct geometry of the road is ensured. A special material is used to strengthen the base and improve its stability.

Installation of reinforcement and expansion joints. Reinforcement increases the strength of cement concrete roads and reduces the likelihood of cracking. Expansion joints help to compensate for thermal deformation and prevent cracks from forming.

Providing drainage and lighting. Drainage promotes rapid removal of water from the road surface, which helps maintain its quality and safety for traffic.

These preparatory works play an important role in creating a stable, safe, and durable concrete road.

The process of laying concrete during road construction

Concrete placement is a critical stage in concrete road construction that requires high precision, experience, and control. It consists of the following:

Choosing the type and quality of concrete. Concrete comes in different grades and compositions, and its selection depends on loads, climatic conditions, and other factors.

Mechanized and manual laying. The mechanized method involves the use of special equipment (concrete pumps, finishers, etc.). The manual method requires the use of hand tools. Mechanized laying is usually faster and more efficient, while manual laying is performed in confined spaces.

Quality control during laying. The uniformity of the concrete layer thickness is checked, the moisture content of the bedding is monitored, and the setting time and other parameters are measured.

Our company has many years of experience in large-scale construction and uses modern technologies and materials to perform the work.

To improve the strength and extend the service life of concrete roads, strengthening additives and reinforcement are used, and the concrete mixture is hydrated and cured. We ensure optimal curing time before opening the road to traffic. This guarantees the reliability and excellent quality of the concrete roads produced by our company.

The construction of concrete roads in Ukraine is the process of creating a concrete road surface to ensure convenient and safe vehicle traffic.
