Home Recycling

Recycling is the process of reprocessing secondary raw materials, including glass, metal, concrete, and other materials. Waste recycling makes it possible to create new products with lower resource and energy costs. Recycling helps reduce the amount of waste sent to landfills, as well as the costs of extracting and processing primary raw materials. Specialists from the company “Forest-Ukraine” will carry out the recycling of solid construction waste at an affordable price.

The importance of recycling for environmental conservation

Recycling is quite important for preserving the environment and reducing the impact of human activity on the natural environment. Proper

  • Waste reduction. Recycling helps process secondary raw materials to minimize the negative impact of landfills on human health and the environment.
  • Resource conservation. It is possible to use secondary raw materials to produce new products instead of primary raw materials.
  • Reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. Recycling makes it possible to reduce the negative impact on the climate.

Therefore, the recycling of construction waste is an important component of environmental conservation strategies. It is often used after the demolition and dismantling of structures of various purposes, allowing materials to be reused.

Principles of recycling

The recycling of solid construction materials remaining after the demolition of structures and buildings is based on several principles:

  • Material collection. First, solid building materials that can be recycled are collected. Sometimes sorting by material type is required.
  • Recycling: After materials are collected, they are processed into secondary raw materials. This process includes crushing, cleaning, and other processing methods.
  • Use of secondary raw materials. After processing, secondary raw materials can be used to produce new products.

Recycling and disposal can be performed for plastic, glass, metal, concrete, brick, and other building materials.

The benefits of recycling include conserving natural resources, reducing hazardous waste and greenhouse gas emissions. In addition, your company will help reduce demolition and dismantling costs. The disadvantages of recycling include energy consumption and a limited range of materials.

The technical aspect of recycling

Recycling of construction waste involves various processes. During recycling, waste is collected and sorted, cleaned, ground, and processed into secondary raw materials.

Each material requires a certain technology and process of disposal or recycling. The recycling methods used by our company are based on mechanical crushing. Such processing includes grinding and converting the material into granules. Secondary crushed stone has a wide range of applications. It can be used in construction or landscape design.

The economic aspect of recycling

The processing requires corresponding costs, but in general this process is economically profitable. The costs for the implementation of the following processes will be required:

  • collection of materials;
  • transportation;
  • sorting;
  • processing;
  • recovery of materials.

Costs depend on the type of material and its condition, the cost of the necessary machinery and equipment, and the transportation and storage of materials.

The recycling market consists of companies that collect, sort, and process recyclable materials. They are the ones who set the prices for recyclable materials. The economic benefits of recycling include additional profits from the sale of recyclable materials.

The environmental aspect of recycling

Reuse reduces the amount of waste going to landfills. It helps reduce the level of pollution from harmful gases emitted into the atmosphere. It also reduces the need for new materials, which helps reduce the cost of extracting raw materials and the carbon dioxide emissions associated with this process.

Successful recycling practices

Our company has the necessary resources for recycling and processing of building materials. We use modern equipment, and the crushed material meets the requirements of DSTU and can be reused in various areas. This allows us to minimize the amount of harmful emissions that enter the soil, water and air. In addition, recycling is a necessary procedure for the restoration of Ukraine in the post-war period to preserve the purity of our environment.

Construction waste shredding

FOREST-UKRAINE has successfully completed a complex of works on crushing construction waste for JSC Ukrnafta. The project was implemented within the framework of a tender for the provision of services for the processing and crushing of construction waste generated in the course of the company's operations.

    Frequently asked questions

What is needed to calculate the cost of dismantling?

To accurately calculate the cost, we need to obtain basic information about the object. In most cases, it is enough:

photo of the building from the outside (from all sides) and from the inside
technical passport or project (if available)
height of the building and number of floors
type of foundations (monolithic, prefabricated, pile, etc.)
approximate distance of transportation of construction waste

The more complete the initial information, the more accurate the calculation.
In more complex cases, we go to the object to inspect and prepare a detailed estimate.

What is more profitable: complete dismantling or partial dismantling with preservation of structures?

In practice, dismantling with preservation of structures almost always turns out to be more expensive.

This is due to the fact that:

a significant part of the work is performed manually, without the use of heavy machinery

    the execution time increases

the risks for workers and structures increase

In addition, most used materials already have a significant degree of wear or have exhausted their resource, so their further use or sale is not always economically feasible.

In many cases, complete dismantling with subsequent processing of materials (for example, into secondary crushed stone) is a more profitable and safe solution.

What to do with construction waste after dismantling?

During dismantling, we immediately perform rough sorting of materials:

metal is separated and sent for recycling
concrete, brick and other mineral materials – separately
wood, plastic and other waste – separately

    Furthermore, several options are possible:

Transportation to a landfill – a standard solution, but involves additional costs for disposal
Recycling of materials – we crush part of the concrete and brick into secondary crushed stone, which:
is used for backfilling, roads, preparation of foundations
    can be implemented

We help you choose the best option to minimize the client’s costs.

Do you dismantle buildings damaged by hostilities?

Yes, we have experience in performing dismantling work on objects damaged as a result of war.

Such objects require a particularly careful approach, as they often have:

    emergency and unstable structures

    partial collapses

increased level of danger for personnel

Before starting work, we necessarily conduct an inspection, assess the technical condition of the building and develop a safe dismantling technology.

    If necessary, we provide:

development of a PVR in a short time

    phased dismantling with risk minimization

sorting and removal of construction waste

We work throughout the territory of Ukraine (except for zones of active hostilities) and are ready to respond promptly to such objects.

Is a project (PVR) needed for the dismantling of a building?

Yes, in most cases, the implementation of dismantling works requires the development of a work execution project (PVR).

We develop PVR in a short time – usually within 2-3 working days.
The document takes into account the dismantling technology, safety, sequence of work and organizational solutions.

    Our company provides full support:

    preparation of all necessary documentation
    maintenance of executive documentation
work with VAT and official closing of volumes

That is, the client receives not only work, but a completely closed process in terms of documents and reporting.

    Do you work throughout Ukraine?

Yes, we perform dismantling work throughout the territory of Ukraine, except for regions where active hostilities are ongoing.

We have our own fleet of machinery and equipment, which allows us to quickly:

    mobilize a team

    relocate equipment

start work in a short time

Thanks to this, we work effectively both on local sites and on large projects in different regions of the country.
