Advantages of monolithic construction

What is monolithic construction? This is a method of erecting buildings and structures in which the main load-bearing structures (walls, floors, columns, etc.) are made directly at the construction site by pouring concrete into special formwork molds. This creates a single monolithic structure without seams. Modern monolithic construction began to develop in the late 19th and early 20th centuries and is now one of the main methods of erecting multi-storey buildings. You can entrust this construction process to Forest-Ukraine.

Strength and durability of monolithic structures

Due to the advantages of monolithic construction, this method is in demand all over the world. The undeniable advantages are:

  • Durability and long service life. Compared to other methods, this method ensures higher strength of monolithic buildings due to the absence of seams and joints. Objects built using this method have better resistance to deformation due to the even distribution of loads, and are less prone to cracks and fractures.
  • Resistance to seismic loads. The Carpathian region and Odesa region have high seismic activity, so monolithic construction ensures proper safety of buildings in these regions. The use of modern monolithic construction technologies contributes to the ability to absorb and distribute seismic waves. This reduces the likelihood of collapse during earthquakes.
  • Speed of construction. It is possible to perform various stages of work in parallel, and there is no need for long curing of individual elements. The speed of monolithic construction is much faster than brickwork and other methods of building construction.
  • Design flexibility. Monolithic construction allows you to create complex geometric shapes and realize large spans without additional supports. In addition, you can easily make changes to the project during the construction phase.
  • Cost-effectiveness. This type of construction helps to use fewer materials due to the optimization of structures, and shorter construction time reduces labor costs.

These advantages make monolithic construction one of the best methods for a wide range of projects.

New project in Lutsk

Our company has recently started working on a monolithic construction project for a store in Lutsk, located on Konyakina Street. This project is of great importance for the region, as it stimulates the development of the city’s commercial infrastructure, creates new jobs, and increases the attractiveness of the area for residents and investors.

The main types of work performed by our specialists:

  • Earthworks: clearing the site, removing vegetation, digging a foundation pit, leveling and compacting the soil to provide a stable foundation for the entire building.
  • Preparation of the foundation. It was built of crushed stone, sand and geotextiles. Layering and compaction was carried out to prevent subsidence and deformation of the foundation.
  • Installation of a monolithic reinforced concrete slab. Reinforcement, formwork installation, and concrete pouring were performed to ensure even load distribution and high strength.
  • Creation of monolithic columns. The reinforcing cage and formwork were installed, and concrete was poured, which are the main load-bearing elements of the building.
  • Arrangement of monolithic walls. The store was able to create large open spaces, and the finished structures have a high load-bearing capacity.
  • Providing a monolithic floor. This component is responsible for the rigidity of the structure and allows for the creation of large spans.
  • Installation of monolithic steps and platforms. They are highly durable and have anti-slip surfaces. It is possible to create various shapes and designs.
  • Waterproofing. This increases the durability of the building and protects the reinforcement against corrosion.
  • Construction of walls. It was carried out in accordance with the layout of the interior space. Brick partitions were made, which have good sound insulation and the possibility of easy reconstruction.
  • Creating a roof from a PVC membrane. This material is lightweight, durable, UV-resistant and provides reliable protection against precipitation.
  • Backfilling of the foundation sinuses. The soil around the foundation was backfilled and compacted in stages to ensure foundation stability and drainage.
  • Improvement of the territory to increase the attractiveness of the store for visitors.

This project confirms our company’s comprehensive approach to the construction of a commercial facility using modern monolithic construction technologies.

We invite all interested companies to cooperate in the implementation of future projects. We will fulfill your order quickly, reliably, efficiently, and at an affordable price.
