Expansion of woodworking production

The private enterprise “Forest-Ukraine” carries out work on the reconstruction of existing buildings and structures, including with the aim of expanding production. Expanding production is a rather complex process that requires detailed planning.

In June 2022, the woodworking enterprise “ODEK” in the town of Orzhiv, Rivne region, ordered a technical inspection of the supporting structures of the wood chip shop. Based on the inspection, a “Report on the results of the technical inspection of the building of the wood chip preparation shop of LLC “ODEK Ukraine” in the town of Orzhiv at 9 Zavodska Street in the Rivne region” was formed. The conclusion was that a complex of works on the reconstruction of the building was necessary.

How Forest-Ukraine fulfilled the order

After preparing a report on the technical inspection, the Forest-Ukraine company prepared a work plan that included the following dismantling and preparatory work before the start of the reconstruction:

• dismantling of outdated equipment that has not been used for a long time;
• removing chips from a metal hopper;
• dismantling of a metal bunker for storing wood chips, the capacity of the bunker was over 1,000 m3;
• dismantling of the reinforced concrete floor along metal columns at the level of +4,000;
• dismantling of reinforced concrete roofing slabs 3*6m
• dismantling of emergency wall panels;
• crushing concrete battle with a jaw crusher.

The work performed by Forest-Ukraine specialists was carried out in the following stages:

1. Dismantling of buildings and structures using demolition excavators, which were additionally equipped with hydraulic shears and a hydraulic hammer.
2. Dismantling of wall and roof slabs using climbing equipment, which allowed the Customer to achieve significant savings on mechanisms.
3. Breaking monolithic reinforced concrete structures using a hydraulic hammer. This is the preparation of the concrete battle for the crushing process.
4. Separation of metal structures from concrete.
5. Crushing construction battle.
6. Removal and disposal of waste outside the construction site, namely: roofing felt, wood, glass, and other material residues.

Specialists of the company “Forest-Ukraine” are recognized specialists in the field of recycling – processing of construction waste. The company’s fleet includes the necessary special equipment, including mobile crushers, which are designed for crushing.

Recycling construction waste using mobile equipment allows Forest-Ukraine customers to count on the following main advantages:

1. Time saving. This frees up the construction site, which greatly simplifies the movement of specialists and special equipment.
2. Savings in finances. The customer does not need to use vehicles to transport reinforced concrete, bricks, and other materials, because they can now be processed directly at the construction site.
3. Possibility of reusing raw materials. The quality of secondary raw materials is approximately the same as granite, and the price is half that. The resulting crushed stone can be used for road construction, gravel foundations, as a filler for concrete or other building materials.

How the process of crushing construction waste took place at the ODEK enterprise

Within the framework of recycling, the crushing procedure involves the following steps:

1. Forest-Ukraine specialists determine the suitability of building materials for reuse.
2. Large remnants of reinforced concrete are prepared for the crushing process using excavators.
3. Construction waste is loaded into the hopper of a mobile crusher and processed into crushed stone.
4. Reinforced concrete is cleaned of metal residues using a magnetic separator.

The company “ODEK” was founded in 1998. Over more than 20 years of operation, the company has grown significantly. The company’s products are popular with customers both within the country and abroad. In terms of production volumes, “ODEK” is the largest plywood manufacturer in Ukraine, including birch plywood (laminated and unlaminated).
